Strategic Planning

A new chief executive called for major revisions to a Federal agency’s $2B budget and strategic plan.  Normally an 18 month process, the revisions would require a complete top-to-bottom review in under three months.  Working with three groups in parallel — senior executives, division leadership, and budget managers — a streamlined budget prioritization process was created. Leveraging techniques from Lean and Human Centered Design, the team delivered a new budget and strategic plan in eight weeks.
